It's been a while
Kodiak Winter is approaching. I really don't feel like I got a proper Kodiak Summer. There were some nice days here and there, but the real Summer happened during my vacation home to Oregon. Don't get me wrong, I had a fabulous time in Oregon and the weather was amazing, but when I got back to Kodiak, there were a couple of nice days followed by rain and clouds and cold and wind. A couple of breaks in the rain, but I haven't really seen the sun in a month.
It's time to get into the winter mode with a winter routine. I still hold onto some hope that there will be a pretty Saturday so I can finally go on the Birthday/Anniversary wildlife kayak trip we had planned for the end of August which didn't happen due to the weather. :( Let's just say, I'm hopeful, but I'm not holding my breath.
Aside from getting myself re-organized (an at-times overly OCD task) I am also preparing for my Grand Opening into a new business venture with Country Gourmet Home. After my 1.5 year stint with Homemade Gourmet (a job I loved greatly) the business took another direction and I could no longer continue with the new opportunity they offered. So I began my search for a new company to work with. I decided on Country Gourmet and have spent time learning the new system and getting myself ready to start selling. With my Grand Opening just days away, I feel like I am finally starting to feel prepared. I have a table design, door prizes, games, a little bit of product knowledge, and 100% excitement to see what kind of success I can achieve.
I have a long way to go in my journey to becoming what my standards consider a successful business woman, but I hope to have a few spare minutes here and there to log my progress and love for the new product line.
Between family, work, business ventures, crafts, charities, and getting myself in shape despite the weather which makes me want to crawl into bed with a good book, I am slowly but surely working out a new agenda to accommodate all my needs and wants. That's all for now!
